Since we have all this hype about The Dark Knight(TDK), it is only necessary to release this bit of news. Rumors have been floating around that a Dark Knight video game has been in production for a while now and that the developers who are working on this game are Pandemic Studios. If you’re unfamiliar with Pandemic they were the team behind Mercenaries, Mercenaries 2, the Star Wars Battlefront Series, and the upcoming Lord of the Rings Conquest video game. They’re extremely popular among video game players.

The game is rumored to be “free roaming” such as games like Grand Theft Auto and Spiderman 3. What we have here is a video of Gary Oldman(Lieutenant/Commissioner Gordon) spilling the beans to G4 on the new game that is being developed.

He talks about how they have Batman gliding on to a rooftop very seemlessly to have a chat with Gordan. He describes his role as something boring(standing on rooftops) as opposed to Batmans(the player) gliding over them. Here’s a hope that Pandemic restores the good name of Batman in video games. Also Gary Oldman tells us that it is slated for release WITH the DVD, so that the game devs had to take their time on the game. Unfortunatly video games based on movies have had a notorious reputation among gamers but let’s just hope our favorite Caped Crusader turns that around.
