Nissan Motors has announced that the limited-production Nissan GT-R SpecV will be released on Feb 2nd 2009, to only 7 specially selected Nissan Dealerships in Japan. The Nissan GT-R SpecV is an all out racing machine coming in at a whopping 15,750,000 yen, an estimated $160,000 . So whats changed from the regular model to the SpecV model ? Well for one, the SpecV is available exclusively in Ultimate Black Opal (RP) body color. Upgrades include a new exterior with Nismo lightweight racing wheels wrapped around high-grip tires, a carbon fiber spoiler, carbon fiber grille, and carbon fiber brake ducts for the exterior. The interior has carbon fiber panels all around and no rear seats, which leaves two new Recaro carbon fiber bucket seats making it a true Sports car. Check out below for more info on performance and more pics!
As for performance upgrades, the SpecV is getting a high gear boost controller for better acceleration at high speeds and improved fuel economy at lower speeds, upgraded suspension, a titanium-coated exhaust system and carbon-ceramic brakes for a better power braking performance. Now its has an estimated 520 HP, which doesn’t really seem like a big change from the regular model. The difference that Nissan was aiming for was a much lighter and better performance super car, which can clearly be seen by all the carbon fiber, huge brake upgrade, and the racing suspension upgrade. Rumor has it that the SpecV will be released in the U.S in 2010, but we will update you guys once the official release date for the U.S is set.
