Converse has released a pair of their Converse One Star Classic 74 II OX, which is a sneaker that has been inspired by the “Year of the Dragon”. Taking on the dragon motif, Converse has decided to implement what looks to be a scaly upper dubbed in red. The very well-known Converse logo is placed at it’s usually spot, on the side-panels, while the sole is filled in with white. Releasing just in time for Chinese New Years, these Converses should be hitting Converse retailers in Asia.

If you’re not only a sneaker maniac, but as well as a comic nerd, then these kicks will probably be on top of your list. Celebrating their 75th year, DC Comic has decided to release a pair of Converse All Star Hi inspired by the Riddler, an infamous character in the Batman series and movies. The upper concentrates on a nice waxed leather, which is ultimately done in a green colorway. Polishing off the sneaker, Converse has added the Riddler question mark logo towards the heel of the kicks. Available today at Size?.

Many Converse Chuck Taylor fans are disappointed because they have to put away their kicks until Winter passes. Don’t worry, Converse has come up with a solution in their ‘Coated Canvas’ Chuck Taylor All Stars. The upper is pretty much weather proof, allowing you to wear the kicks anytime. The shoe comes to us in a black colorway, detailed with brown, white, and some green found on the branding. These kicks are available today at select retailers.

London retail store, The Hideout, has decided to collaborate with Converse and work on a couple of Chuck Taylor All Stars. Including different models and colorways, The Hideout and Converse have done the shoes justice with their simple yet appealing sneakers. The greatest part about the collection is the diversity and the fact that we have more then one option to choose from. We can see that the lows take a more casual approach with the canvas upper, while the high top pair is done in suede. Look for these kicks to hit The Hideout first on July 4th, 2011 and then Converse First String retailers globally on July 16, 2011.

A trend that hasn’t caught on yet is sneakers that are inspired by boots, obviously making them boot inspired sneakers. Converse is one of the brands who did decide to take on the boot path and has implemented it onto their Chuck Taylor All Star. The kicks are set to release as part of Converses Fall line-up and will come to us in two different colorways. The first colorway, which is posted above, comes to us in a grey nubuck leather with a pair of boot inspired laces. The other sneaker comes to us in a black waxed canvas, along with a white sole. A couple of months ago we gave you a look at a collaboration between Converse and Nintendo, which will continue today. Last time we saw the Chuck Taylor Hi it came to us in two different colorways such as black or white and included Mario prints all over. Today, however, we get to see the sneaker included different level of Super Mario Bro. In the picture above you can see how Nintendo implemented level 1 of Super Mario onto the kicks. The other sneaker comes to us with an image of Mario saving Princess from the evil Bowser. Look for these kicks to drop sometime in August. Take a look at the entire collection after the jump.

The Converse Star Player S XLite OX comes to us in a dominant canvas white upper, along with some nice black accents located on the lining and tongue. What makes the sneaker a true Converse kick is the branding that is found on the side-panels. Although pretty dull, we can admit that these kicks are pretty simple and a good sneaker to cop for the Summer. Overall a nice skateboard shoe. Catching our eye today were the Converse ‘Oxford’ Jack Purcells. Not only does the model intrigue us, but it’s the mixture of colors that Converse has decided to use that has really caught our eye. Supported by a chambray and oxford upper, Converse has decided to go with a tie-dye design on the upper, featuring a mix of pink, green, and blue. Anyone else thinking about cotton candy? Converse has decided to give us a look at their newest Converse All Star Chuck Taylor Vintage, which will sadly be limited to only 200 pairs. You can see that Converse has decided to go with some nice denim on the upper, along with some beige and brown accents found throughout. The history behind these All Star Chuck Taylors are fairly interesting. They were released back in 1942 in the America Training Camps and are now re-releasing due to it’s great looks. 200 pairs are available now at Converse.com.

We’ve seen a lot of Chuck Taylors in the recent years. Although, when we usually get a glimpse at them we see them usually in either a monotone or two toned colorway. Now Converse has decided to go with the old school “Camo” design. We don’t see much of the camo being used as of late due to it’s hype dying out, but I guess Converse thinks different. A very simple sneaker, the upper using the camo theme, while the laces are done in beige. Available now at Finishline for $50.
