A couple of days ago we gave you guys a glimpse of a collaboration between Nike Dunk and ?uestlove. Many people were curious to know the background of  the three sneakers, which now we can give you a little biography on. Also, don’t forget to purchase a pair on March 4th at select Nike Sportswear retailers nationwide.

Once again turning to an icon of Nike’s design heritage, Nike Sportswear takes the Nike Dunk and puts it in the hands of one of the music industry’s most innovative creators of sound, ?uestlove. Releasing on March 4th, two Nike Dunks will hit the shelves as a pair of unlikely twins bearing a unique look that is arguably the first of its kind. One pair red and the other yellow, the Nike Dunk x ?uestlove is the product of an imagination that brings uncharacteristic embellishments to a classic. Inspired by mid 80’s era American television, ?uestlove draws from the favorite sitcoms of his youth and interprets their story lines through design.

Hinting to an episode that is forever etched in ?uestlove’s mind, a character is presented with an all too human conflict, impressing a girl with style, but the outcome goes horribly awry. The character pleads for an expensive shirt from his parents, but when he is denied, a sibling offers to make a replica that is in the end far from perfect. The Nike Dunk x ?uestlove is just that, one is perfect, and the other is, to say the least, a bit off kilter.

The red pair is fashioned to perfection using premium leather complete with an overlay that conceals the laces trimmed with white buttons. The yellow pair is the traditional Nike Dunk with a twist – the swoosh shape that is distinct to the Nike Blazer. The Nike Dunk x ?uestloves are then finished off with the emblem of its maker, the silhouette of ?uestlove himself.

“ I always opt against taking the easy way out, ” says ?uestlove, “I wanted to choose colors that were extremely hard to match with outfits with a simpler design that stand out as the topic of conversation.”

?uestlove surprises us by suddenly adding a third Nike Dunk x ?uestlove to the mix, this version colored in all black. When asked about the addition,?uestlove responds, “Dunks to me are the tuxedo of Nikes. Obviously an awesome basketball sneaker, but they can also fit almost any situation. If rocked right, you could even wear them with a suit, and the all black version is perfect for that.”

We just brought to you the Nike Dunk AC Vintage preview and now we get to take a look at a pair of sneakers that where “un-vintaged”. These, obviously coming from a fan that doesn’t like the vintage look as he grabbed a pair of Nike Dunk Low Vintages, from the Be True To Your Street pack, and cleaned them up. In early January of 2011 we received some news on the Nike SB Dunk High Premium “Statue of Liberty“. We then found out that as the shoe wears out it slowly starts to reveal a rusted color. At the time we only had one picture of the sneaker but today we get to take a closer look at these Dunks.

No detailed pictures of the rusting has yet to show up but I’m sure they will be once these release. You can check out the rest of the pictures below and let us know if you plan on getting these. Also if you are getting them will you be keeping them fresh or letting them rust?

Just a couple of days ago we showed you a picture of a new pair of Nike SB Dunk Highs that where inspired by the Statue of Liberty. At the time we only new that they would feature a seagrass green upper but we have just found out that underneath the first layer of seagrass you will be able to see a copper color simulating the oxidation occurring on the statue.

Regular wear of the sneaker will eventually get it to change to this color which I think is a cool concept as I’m sure many sneaker heads will try to preserve the original color while others will give it the oxidation look in certain places or just all together. As for the release date these will be dropping next month.

We have seen the Nike SB series release in many different colorways and as their latest colorway they pay tribute to the Statue of Liberty. They feature a fully seagrass green upper with a light grey interior and sole. As the midsole they used off white to bring the sneaker together quite nicely. There is only one picture currently available and will be releasing February.

With the new year here we have already heard of and seen some nice sneaker releases. The trend will be continuing throughout the entire year and dropping in the Fall we can see the Nike SB Dunk Low drop in a very nice colorway. These feature a fully suede medium grey upper with a sport royal Nike Swoosh that really compliments the sneaker. Also to finish off the sneaker we can see a gum sole added. Make sure to stay posted as detailed pictures and a release date arises.

Set to be releasing sometime this month we can see Nike creating a pair of all black water proof Dunks. They are featured on their Hi model and are made water proof by adhering the tongue to the midfoot inside. As for the colorway we can see them sticking with all black. These will definitely make for a good pair of Winter shoes and are set to be releasing at your local SB accounts.

Not too long ago we saw some preview pictures of the Nike Dunk Hi Premium “Rainbow”. They feature a high gloss leather upper and can be seen sporting a multi colored midsole. Purple starts at the toe and fades to blue, light blue, yellow, orange and finishes on red. On these we can also see two different colored toe boxes. You can check out some detailed pictures of these below and we will keep you updated on the release date of these.

Nike has been releasing a lot of Dunks as of late. I guess you can add two more into their collection. I guess you can say that these kicks come to us in a nice “Crisp White,” colorway as that’s what they’ve been called. The pack will include two sneakers, both obviously supporting a crisp upper. The only difference is the model and accents which one of them comes in green and the other in yellow. Both colorways, if you’re interested, are available now at Six Feet Down. A couple of weeks ago we gave you a look at the Nike Dunk Hi SB Premium inspired by Iron Man. Today we get a closer look at the sneaker, which can help you decided if you wanna purchase the sneaker or not. After the movie was released, many Marvel fans were already screaming for a sequel, which they will be getting this May. Until then maybe pictures of the Nike Dunk Hi Sb Premium inspired by Iron Man will keep you fulfilled.

The sneaker itself includes premium materials which I feel makes the sneaker more of a casual sneaker then anything else. The upper includes different shades of red, along with accents such as black and yellow. The black is mostly found on the sole and Nike Swoosh, while the yellow is located on the sole and swoosh lining. The sneaker will be releasing Holidays 2010.
